ARCHDIOCESE CALLS FOR SPECIAL PRAYERS AHEAD OF DODGERS’ JUNE 16

Archbishop José H. Gomez will offer the 12:10 p.m. Mass on June 16, 2023, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels for healing for all due to the hurt currently felt because of the Dodgers’ decision to  honor a group that intentionally denigrates the Christian faith. The Mass will be livestreamed.

The Archdiocese has called on all Catholics and people of goodwill to stand together in prayer, inviting  parishes to pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday, June 16, the Solemnity of the Most  Sacred Heart of Jesus, at Mass or during a Holy Hour with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Additionally, leading up to this moment of prayer, parishes have been encouraged to include special  petitions in the Prayer of the Faithful at daily and Sunday Masses.


LA ARQUIDIÓCESIS PIDE ORACIONES ESPECIALES ANTES DEL 16 DE JUNIO DE LOS DODGERS

El Arzobispo José H. Gómez ofrecerá el 12:10 p.m. Misa el 16 de junio de 2023 en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles por la sanación de todos debido al dolor que se siente actualmente por la decisión de los Dodgers de honrar a un grupo que intencionalmente denigra la fe cristiana. La Misa será transmitida en vivo.

La Arquidiócesis ha invitado a todas las parroquias a rezar las Letanías del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús el  viernes 16 de junio, día de la Solemnidad del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, en la Misa o durante una Hora  Santa con la Exposición del Santísimo Sacramento. Además, antes de este momento de oración se ha animado a las parroquias a incluir peticiones especiales en la Oración de los Fieles en las Misas diarias y en  las dominicales.
