On Friday, March 19, 2021 the church will celebrate the solemnity of St Joseph. Since this day ranks as a Solemnity in the Church Liturgical calendar, Archbishop Jose Gomez wish to remind the people of the Archdiocese that they are not obliged to observer the practice of abstinence on March 19, 2021 (cf can. 1251)
As we approach Holy Week and Easter celebrations, we must always be mindful that, while COVID-19 conditions have improved within our Archdiocese, we must take care to protect one another.
